Score More Than Touchdowns on Xbox Madden 10

If you're still unsure about Xbox Madden 10, then you need a trip through the football video game timeline, back to the beginning, to change your mind. On one hand, it's probably not too cool to say Xbox Madden 10 is great, just because it stands out next to crap from 30 years ago. But it helps to see how much progress has been made in football video games, by taking a glance at the earliest video games and comparing them to Xbox Madden 10. Certainly, there was a huge, untapped market for football video games, when the first generation of console games made their debut. Only problem was, the gamers' ideas on what a great football video game should be, versus the reality of the video game consoles' capabilities, made for a shaky compromise. If you've ever seen old ads for this one, the creators truly believed that it had "all the excitement" of the real deal.

They didn't even try to make those guys look like people. Just needed to get that one off my chest. The photo may be underwhelming, but the game itself is even more so. An early symptom of the low-tech nature of older video games was graphics that just blinked like crazy, rendering the action impossible to read. Audio was as awful as the video. As you'd probably guessed, there wasn't a scrolling screen for this one. In a short matter of time, the competitors entered the video game console field, and brought out their take on a more realistic football video game. They definitely took the ball and ran with this one, giving gamers better gameplay, visuals, and sound. However, it was still a bit primitive.

No doubt, it was a real exciting time for hardcore gamers, but there was still a ways to go before football video games would dominate the industry. Several years would pass before that came to pass. But this one, which was released in the late 80s, as part of the next generation of game consoles, really hit it big, to the point where people still love it. For quite a while, this was considered the greatest football video game by the video game world.

Can't argue with the fact that the hardcore gamers did take to this one - for the first time, the NFL got the red-carpet treatment from a football video game. It was an amazing evolution in football video games, and this one was really a major turning point. With the online revival, today's gamers are getting a taste of yesteryear - and loving it. While worthy of praise, it still trails in the distance from Xbox Madden 10. It's always great to see how far we, and football video games, have come. Guess it's a waste of time to do too much putting down of the other, less sophisticated football video games. We think you understand. You have to start somewhere, and those other games did - and Xbox Madden 10 would have never been possible if it weren't for those older football video games. Xbox Madden 10 is the future of football video games, and the video game community is psyched that the future is looking so bright. The reviewers have spoken, and they're as stoked as the gamers, which is always a cause for celebration. Xbox Madden 10 reviews tend to feature statements such as "realistic and enjoyable." EA Sports didn't even come close to fumbling the ball with Xbox Madden 10, that's for sure.

There are always going to be the haters, but pay no attention - Xbox Madden 10 rules. Xbox Madden 10 isn't just a great Xbox sports video game - it's an all-around great Xbox video game. Most of the gaming world agrees that this is the new standard by which the rest shall be judged. Better still, the true gamers know that this is the arena which will separate the wheat from the chaff, after you play video games for money. The stakes have been raised, and Xbox Madden 10 maniacs now can take each other on for some serious cash. After you've really given yourself a crash course and learned all the rules, you'll score touchdown after touchdown - and make off with your rival's bankroll as well.
